Hello! My name is Janet Chun. I am the Pacific American Volunteer Association, PAVA’s, national president for the years 2022-2023. First and foremost, I would like to express my gratitude for the position and opportunity to lead this group of future leaders. PAVA’s values of educating our generation on environmental preservation have been a huge benefit to me as a student pursuing veterinary medicine. Learning about native species and their environment or even key features to identify distinct species has been valuable and serves to remind me of my devotion and commitment to veterinary science. Furthermore, as a four-year member of PAVA, I have seen firsthand what great leadership looks like from the prior national presidents and vice presidents. They were all people that knew how to organize efficiently, influence a crowd, and maintain a positive attitude throughout any hard work. As this year’s national president of PAVA, I would like to do the same. I pledge to the members of PAVA to be hardworking and take on this position seriously whilst making this year a fun one!!☺♡
