On July 22nd, 2017, more than 200 PAVA volunteers gathered in the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve in order to pick up trash and pull out invasive species harming the reserve plants. Partnering with a Bolsa Chica captain, the PAVA volunteers branched into different groups in order to cover as much land as possible. Each section was differnet but no volunteer worked harder than the other. Their actions caused a profound change in the Ecological reserve. PAVA is hoping to return to Bolsa Chica to continue this change for future generations.
